November is CraftMONTH
CraftNOW activates the city the days and weeks surrounding the Philadelphia Museum of Art Contemporary Craft Show with the City of Philadelphia’s Art in City Hall and Office of Arts, Culture and the Creative Economy having issued a proclamation naming November CraftMONTH.
A calendar of 2021 events will be available mid-summer.

Environmental Effects Symposium
Friday, November 5
In 2021, CraftNOW presents Environmental Effects, a symposium to examine how craft communities and interiors shape our experiences, when sustainability issues are expressed through craft, and the greater impact of our contemporary material culture. Dr. Kelli Morgan will present the keynote.

PMA Craft Show
Friday, November 5 – Sunday, November 7
This premier show and sale of contemporary craft includes 160 of the finest and most dynamic craft artists selected from more than 1,000 applicants.
Saturday, November 6
Craft steps out of the studio and into the heart of Philadelphia with demonstrations and hands-on exploration. In 2020, organizers created 500 take-home kits filled with craft activities. Save Saturday, November 6, 2021 on your calendars!
Irvin Borowsky International Prize in Glass Arts
Thursday, November 11
The 9th Annual Borowsky Prize in Glass Arts will be awarded followed by a lecture. This event requires an RSVP to The University of the Arts.
Friday, December 3
CraftNOW traditionally closes CraftMONTH with Wayne Art Center’s Craft Forms: An International Juried Exhibition of Contemporary Craft. This exhibition returns in December 2021 and will be juried by Carol Sauvion of Craft in America.
