CraftNOW Philadelphia seeks an experienced Development & Grants Associate for a part-time, hybrid opportunity in Philadelphia, PA.

CraftNOW Philadelphia unites the leading institutions, artists, and patrons of Philadelphia’s vibrant craft community to celebrate the city’s rich legacy, its internationally-recognized contemporary scene, and its important role as an incubator for arts based in wood, clay, fiber, metal, and glass.  https://www.craftnowphila.org

Responsibilities

Under the direction and supervision of the Executive Director, the Development & Grants Associate will

Grants
– Research and identify new grant opportunities and funding sources
– Write letters of inquiry, grant proposals, and post-grant reports
– Meet proposal deadlines and establish priorities and target dates for submissions
– Maintain grant calendar and reporting requirements

Fundraising & Events
– Solicit and acknowledge individual and corporate gifts
– Track gifts and maintain the donor information database
– Provide support for special events and programs (for ex., CraftNOW Create, the Summer Camp partnership with Parks & Rec, Tools of the Trades, and our annual Symposium)

Qualifications
– Excellent communication and persuasion skills, including the ability to ‘tell our story’
– Familiarity with grant-writing and research
– Analytical: able to summarize data to support grant proposals and to document outcomes
– Experience maintaining donor databases, creating spreadsheets, and reports
– Highly organized: easily meets deadlines and prioritizes daily activities
– Proficient with Microsoft Office, Google Suite, Excel, and website maintenance

Schedule/Compensation
– Part-time 20+ hours/wk with occasional night or weekend events
– Flexible hybrid schedule with regular on-site meetings in Center City
– Hourly rate: $25 to $40
