Virtual Symposium

Each year, the Foundation for Advancement of International Medical Education and Research (FAIMER) hosts a morning of presentations and interactive dialogue on a topic related to health and well-being. This year makers, visual and performing artists will join health professionals and educators for a morning of rich learning and dialogue. They will be joined virtually by participants from across the globe.

***Previously scheduled to be held at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, the forum will now be a virtual symposium, so that all may attend safely during this time of uncertainty and concern regarding the coronavirus (COVID-19).

By the end of the forum, participants will be able to:
-Use interdisciplinary dialogue to activate a generative mindset;
-Identify skills and opportunities that health practitioners and the arts can share; and
-Apply concepts of creativity to innovation and the healing arts.

Keynote speakers:
-Rachel Brandoff, PhD, Assistant Professor, Thomas Jefferson University, Jefferson College of Health Professions; and
-Diana Nicholas, RA, Assistant Professor, Drexel University, Westphal College of Media Arts and Design.
