For nearly 30 years, art lovers in Philadelphia have reserved the First Friday of every month for gallery hopping. To continue this tradition, CraftNOW will help bring together a group of curators and artists for an intimate preview on Thursday nights

On the Agenda –

Pentimenti Gallery – Owner and Director Christine Pfister will provide a quick introduction to the story of Pentimenti Gallery as well as Pentimenti Warehouse, a new online platform offering direct access to rare-to-market and historically significant work by the gallery artists. Kevin Finklea will join the conversation to present his acrylic works on handmade paper.

Paradigm Gallery – Paradigm Gallery is pleased to present Adapting to Change, a solo exhibition of new sculptural works by Jedediah Morfit. For the first time ever, Paradigm Gallery will be presenting Adapting to Change digitally in 3D, creating an immersive digital twin of the exhibition space. Also opening is Be Kind Rewind, an immersive solo exhibition of new works by Contemporary artist, Charles Clary.

InLiquid’s Virtual Art for the Cash Poor 2020 – InLiquid’s Content Manager Liz Roan will present plans to transition this annual summer event into an online experience. Art For the Cash Poor (AFTCP) veteran/vendor Gillian Pokalo will also share her experience with AFTCP throughout the years and present a few of her artworks she will be selling.

 

 

In closing, The Clay Studio announces the opening of Adam Chau: SENT, an exhibition examining queer culture in the digital age through ceramics and technology, and The Center for Art in Wood shares other First Friday programming offered virtually at The Wood Shed.
