CraftNOW 2020 Annual Fund

Your gift will provide critical support to our organization and ensure its survivability.

The outbreak of COVID-19 is dramatically impacting nonprofits and the lives of craft artists and makers. Both have continued serving their communities by generating free online content for educational and emotional support as well as creating handmade protective wear for those in need. CraftNOW is dedicated to ensuring our community remains intact so the opportunities to innovate and support one another continue beyond this crisis.

Gifts collected through our 2020 Annual Fund campaign will contribute to the following efforts –

• CraftNOW will be conducting an in-depth survey of the field to understand the life and health of our region’s artisanal economy. The data collected will provide the basis for initiating future craft business support systems for artists and makers. 

• Together with our partners, we will be generating new scholarship and digital resources to collectively promote Philadelphia’s craft innovators, leaders, and united community.

• CraftNOW’s advocacy for the sector and role as community convener will help to advance craft arts and culture as a central to a healthy recovery and bright future.

If you wish to donate by mail, please make checks payable to “University of the Arts” with “CraftNOW Philadelphia” on the check memo line and mail to: Brenton McCloskey, Advancement Office, University of the Arts, 320 S. Broad Street, Philadelphia, PA  19102. Please note there are extreme delays in check processing at this time. Online donations are preferred.
