Sámi Bracelet Making
Sugar Skull Masks
Decorate your own paper masks inspired by Dia de los Muertos sugar skulls! Dia de los Muertos, or Day of the Dead, is a Mexican tradition that is about honoring ancestors and remembering loved ones who have passed. Using paint markers, colorful tissue paper, and gems, you will bring your mask to life! Add a special touch by creating your own tissue paper marigolds to adorn your mask, a flower commonly associated with remembrance.
Group Sculpt with Claymobile!
The Clay Studio’s pop-up ceramics studio – Claymobile – is rolling into CraftNOW Create with a giant, hands-on Group Sculpture. Stop by anytime to shape, stick, and decorate with clay onto the frame. Add as much or as little as you like, then watch the sculpture grow as others contribute too! This collaborative artwork will exist only for the day, so be part of the moment. No clay experience needed—just bring your imagination and dive in!
Make A Bookmark or Bracelet Weaving With Straws
Participants will use drinking straws and yarn to weave a bookmark or bracelet. This is a fun way to weave without a loom.
Big Dreams / Small Utopias
Join FWM educators at Smith Playground to imagine your own small utopias through the screenprinting process!
Water Marbling
- Create mesmerizing one-of-a-kind artwork by designing patterns in water, then transferring it onto paper!
