CraftNOW’s Annual Report
At the end of each year, CraftNOW drafts an annual report summarizing its activities, contributors, and upcoming goals.
In the 2022 edition, CraftNOW introduces the first annual Tools of the Trades four-day conference and networking event March 23 through 26. This program was designed by and for creative entrepreneurs throughout Greater Philadelphia at every skill level built upon years of research led by CraftNOW.
CraftBUILD was also launched in 2022 in partnership with the Building Industry Association of Philadelphia (BIA)to unite the developer community with local makers. Together we have a curated directory of artisans and fabricators working specifically with furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E) suited for built environments.
Also in the Summer of 2022, CraftNOW introduced immersive weeklong gap camps in partnership with Philadelphia’s Department of Parks and Recreation. While keeping the original format that allows us to reach 120 recreation centers across Philadelphia, we targeted seven individual centers with multi-day sessions during the gap weeks between the end and start of school in late June and mid-August with a mix of hands-on activities and gallery tours.
